The UNESCO International Centre for Documentary Heritage (ICDH) attended the IBERARCHIVOS General Assembly held in Toluca, Mexico, from March 26 to 27.
IBERARCHIVOS, an archive association of Ibero-America(National Archives of 18 member countries and two observer agencies are participating 03.23.), contributes to forming networks among member countries and is designed to strengthen the capabilities of experts and institutions in the field of record heritage.
The general meeting, attended by the heads of the national archives of member countries, discussed projects to be carried out in 2023 and elected the chairman of the IBERARCHIVOS.

Through attending this general meeting, ICDH had time to introduce the center, share its vision, and discuss cooperation measures, including participation as an IBERARCHIVOS observer organization. Starting with this, ICDH plans to discover various cooperative projects with IBERARCHIVOS and establish a collaborative network.
Through continuous discussions, ICDH plans to carry out cooperative projects with IBERARCHIVOS from next year, which is expected to play a major role in the preservation and protection of Ibero-American record heritage based on ICDH's expertise in record heritage.
