ICDH hosts its 6th Board Meeting
The UNESCO International Centre for Documentary Heritage(hereafter ICDH) held its 6th Board Meeting, presented on-site and online at Lotte Hotel, Seoul, on December 14(Chairperson CHOI Jae-hee, President of the National Archives of the Republic of Korea). Having Chairperson CHOI Jae-hee, nine agendas - three reporting agendas and four deliberation agendas - were addressed: the ICDH’s 2023 programme plan and budget; amending articles regarding annual closing accounts of the ICDH; 2022 annual performance report of UNESCO C2 Centres; and appointment and reappointment of executive committee members.
The meeting continued addressing major strategic tasks for 2023, such as Memory of the World (hereafter MoW) inscription monitoring, protection of endangered heritage and support for potential documentary heritage, and awareness-raising. In 2023, the opening of the ICDH new building is scheduled, and diverse events such as conferences and exhibitions will be held. In this line, ICDH expects to implement full-fledged work the following year.
With 2022 marking the 30th anniversary of UNESCO’s MoW Programme, ICDH took time to review the year's achievement regarding the mid/long-term cooperative measures and strategic directions.
ICDH expects to strengthen its role and secure its positions with the stable settlement of the organizational operations and long-term strategic programme operations in 2023.
