ICDH carries out the 2nd Bridge Program for the Project “From Jikji to Gutenberg.”


The UNESCO International Centre for Documentary Heritage(hereafter ICDH) carried out the 2nd Bridge Program for the Project “From Jikji to Gutenberg” from July 21 to August 1 in San Francisco and Berkeley, USA.

※ Bridge Program: Programs for strengthening the ‘Bridge-Building’ and sharing knowledge between related institutions, researchers, and professionals in the Republic of Korea and the USA for the Project “From Jikji to Gutenberg.”

 
 Overview of the 2nd Bridge Program for the Project “From Jikji to Gutenberg.”
- Period: July 21 to August 1, 2022
 - Place: San Francisco and Berkeley, USA
 - Main Activities: Visiting project-related institutions, Old printing research using a scientific analysis method, Responding to the local media, etc




In the 2nd Bridge Program, ICDH visited diverse organizations, including the Stanford Linear Acceleration Center(SLAC) and East Asia Research Center at the University of Berkeley. And ICDH carried out the old printing scientific analysis using SSRL and XRF, supporting the discovery of the potential heritage and responding to the local media.
Starting with the Bridge Program, the General Assembly for the Project will be held in the Library of Congress in April 2023. The attendees will present the primary research outcomes about their professional fields at the General Assembly.
