On 17 October 2023, Mr. Jamaâ BAIDA, Director of the Archives du Maroc, visited ICDH to discuss and seek opportunities for future collaboration.

Mr. Jamaâ BAIDA is the Director of the Archives du Maroc since its creation in 2011 and also serves as a permanent member of the International Council on Archives (ICA)
and a member of the International Advisory Committee (IAC).

During the meeting, the Centre promised its continued cooperation and commitment to
ensure the successful progress of the Moroccan National Archives Records Management Support ODA Project,
which runs for a total of three years,from July 2023 to June 2026. 

​

Meanwhile, Mr. Yoonmyoung CHO, ICDH Secretary-General, highlighted the importance of networking
and capacity-building activities between the two organizations and proposed holding a working-level workshop to discuss
and explore collaborative ideas and a concrete road map in the near future. 

​

The director thus expressed his willingness to support mutual cooperation and showed his expectation of the Centre’s role
and position as the first international organization in the documentary heritage arena to ensure the protection, preservation,
and awareness-raising around the globe, including North Africa.
