ICDH commemorates its 2nd anniversary of the foundation
- Looking back over the passing years of ICDH -
The UNESCO International Centre for Documentary heritage(hereafter ICDH), founded in July 2020, commemorates its 2nd anniversary of the foundation on July 13, 2022.
ICDH, established by the National Archives of Korea and Cheongju City Government in November 2017, is the world's first international organization in the documentary heritage field. It leads documentary heritage policies and projects with diverse international cooperation programmes; including preserving and protecting Memory of the World, providing publicity/education contents, discovering endangered/potential heritages, etc.
Nov 2021. Hosting "The 1st 'Documentary Heritage' Webinar"
Dec 2021. Publishing the Coloring Book "Memory of the World filled with Color"
Mar 2022. Signing the MOU for the developing contents of the Memory of the World with the Korea Creative Content Agency(KOCCA)
Mar 2022. Embarking on Establishing the 'ISP for building the digital platform of Documentary Heritage'
Apr 2022. ICDH-Utah Univ Joint Project "From Jikji to Gutenberg" Granted with NEH Awards
Jun 2022. Signing the MOU for UNESCO-KFIT Voluntary Contribution, Embarking on the "Project for Archives Preservation and Digitization of the Amadou Hampate Ba Foundation"
Jul 2022. Signing the MOU for Silk Road Documentary Heritage Discovery with the International Institute for Central Asian Studies(IICAS)
Commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Memory of the World(MoW) programme, ICDH is currently preparing special programmes with UNESCO Secretariat to celebrate its anniversary. Starting with this, ICDH will make the year to strengthen its position and roles as an international organization in the documentary heritage field.
