The International Centre for Documentary Heritage (hereafter ICDH) commenced its official duties from July 13th after announcing its launch on June 19th.
ICDH is a category 2 centre under the auspices of UNESCO (CI sector) established with a mission to preserve and protect documentary heritage by supporting the UNESCO Memory of the World Programme.
The Centre's main objective is to enhance international capacity for the safe preservation of documentary heritage and will conduct R&D policies on preservation and management, create and implement customized educational programs, promote heritage utilization and content creation on UNESCO Memory of the World inscriptions and documentary heritage based on in-depth communications with partner institutions.
